Client:
Xram
Hunter

Service
Description: Xram specializes
in all facets of IT planning, deploying,
operations, and maintenance support. Xram’s
primary client was the Washington DC Joint
Operations Command Center (JOCC). The
JOCC is the primary command and control
facility in Washington DC and consists
of a network of over 300 cameras that
survey and protect the nation’s
capitol. Xram’s contract with the
JOCC was the build, maintenance, and management
of all IT components of the facility.
Xram
came to Hunter Wellman to expand their
Command and Control business. After a
thorough review of Xram’s capability
and past performance, Hunter Wellman developed
a marketing plan that would target specific
users of command and control technologies.
The result of this effort was a significant
increase in revenue associated with their
command and control division. Contracts
won include:
- Acquired
an SBIR contract with DARPA in the area
of Network Centric Warfare and information
flow in command and control valued at
100 K. Phase two of this project is
under consideration and has a projected
value of 750 K.
- Acquired
a proof of concept RFID contract for
DLA at Susquehanna Depot valued at 30
K. Project expansion contract value
is over 7 million.
- Acquired
a video surveillance upgrade project
with the City of Saint Paul, MN valued
at over 400 K.
- Acquired
a contract with the City of New York
to build a mobile command and control
center that integrated several camera
and communication feeds into a lightweight,
portable, and ruggedized command center.
- Acquired
a contract with the City of Newport
News, VA to build and install a network
of wireless surveillance cameras valued
at 130 K.
- Acquired
a contract with the Department of Transportation
to conduct IT research projects at the
VOLPE Center valued at 250 K per year
for a 5 year period.
- Closed
several other contracts for local and
state first responder agencies in the
area of command and control and surveillance
systems. Contracts vary in value from
30 K to 400 K.
Client:
SMI Global Mission Support

Service
Description: SMI GMS held a pre-deployment
training contract with the Department
of Defense and suffered from an under-performing
sales team. SMI GMS management wanted
an expansion into other DoD training contracts
and called Hunter Wellman to act as a
“bolt-on” sales staff to focus
on their military training market share.
Hunter Wellman successfully leveraged
SMI GMS’ sole DoD contract into
significant market expansion including
the following contract awards:
- Acquired
a mobilization and deployment contract
for the US Army valued at 1.2 million
over a one year period at Fort Bliss.
- Utilized
an 8a contracting partner to sole source
a training contract for US FORSCOM valued
at 1.2 million dollars at Camp Atterbury.
- Acquired
an 8a sole source training contract
at Fort Stewart valued at 3 million
dollars.
- Acquired
a sub contract with Titan to provide
linguists for the US Army in various
operational theaters (INSCOM). Profit
projected at 1.3 million dollars for
fiscal year 2005.
Client:
Force Preparedness Training Services (FPTS)

Description: FPTS has a solid
reputation of providing superior tactical
training to the US Military and first
responders. Most of their contracts were
the result of repeat business and word
of mouth. FPTS was ready for a significant
expansion of their business and contacted
Hunter Wellman to take on the responsibilities
associated with the acquisition of applicable
procurements. Hunter Wellman staff worked
with FPTS and identified bases located
throughout the United States that would
benefit from FPTS’ capabilities
and experience. Hunter Wellman arranged
and represented FPTS to the identified
customers and was successful in identifying
markets not known to FPTS and providing
the support necessary to win significant
market share.
The
result – Hunter Wellman acquired
over 15 million dollars in Department
of Defense training contracts in 8 months.
Client:
Warehouse Intellect
Hunter

Development
Service
Description: Warehouse Intellect
is a small business specializing in web
based training. Their client base was
primarily in the private sector and they
were looking for a way to enter the public
sector market space. Their key challenge
was how to acquire government contracts
with corporate past performance qualifications.
Warehouse Intellect called Hunter Wellman
to inquire about pubic sector expansion
and how to increase their market share
with federal agencies.
Hunter
Wellman did an exhaustive review of all
corporate experience and developed a marketing
strategy based in distance learning principles
present in both private and public sectors.
The result – Hunter Wellman acquired
over 2.5 million dollars in federal distance
learning contracts. Hunter Wellman then
added a significant effort to pursue University
Distance Learning contracts and acquired
over 150 K in education distance learning
contracts for the company.
