8a Sole Source Office Relocation Contract

 

Our client is an 8a firm specializing in Information Technology contracts. They approached Hunter Wellman with a desire to expand their business into new agencies leveraging their 8a certification and past performance.

 

Hunter Wellman has developed a longstanding relationship with numerous offices within the Department of Treasury.  We received a call from a contracting officer at the IRS needing an 8a contractor to support an office consolidation contract - they wanted to move two floors of offices into one.  While our client did not have past performance to do this work, the team agreed it would be worthwhile to find a local subcontractor and close this business.

 

Within 5 weeks, Hunter Wellman facilitated the identification of the opportunity, necessary meetings, capability statements, pricing, and contract close activities that resulted in our client closing the contract (8a sole sourced) - which resulted in an expansion of company capability to include facilities management.
